A 36 year old man with a developmental disability is currently living in a group home. He is very sociable and makes friends easily. He needs very little support in the area of personal care, can cook and help with household chores with some supervision, has no mobility concerns, and can stay alone for designated time periods. He enjoys being with others who share some of his interests which include animals (especially dogs), a wide range of music (from Ozzy Osbourne to disco and rap), aircraft, washers and dryers, and looking at books about and collecting spiders. He also enjoys going to concerts, dancing at night clubs, eating out (especially seafood), visiting appliance stores, walking at the beach, sailing, and traveling (especially via airplane). The ideal home would be a family without children or with older children, or a single man or two men. They should be fitness conscious and knowledgeable about nutrition and weight control. An ideal situation would also include an ample yard and at least one dog.
