Welcome to Benhaven's Web Site. Benhaven is a private not-for-profit agency serving children, adolescents, and adults with autism and pervasive developmental disabilities. Founded in 1967 by a teacher and mother of a child with autism, Benhaven has provided a variety of services to hundreds of people. This website contains background information on our programs and history, contact information and driving directions, as well as updates on job opportunities and current events.

What's New at Benhaven

Benhaven School Relocates - After two years of planning, negotiating, and renovating, Benhaven School’s staff and students reported to our new Wallingford facility on December 19, 2006. The new facility, located at 125 North Plains Industrial Road, is approximately one-and-a-half times larger than the West Haven facility. In addition to six classrooms, the new facility has a gym, separate space for individual programs such as art, speech and language, and music, as well as abundant office and meeting space for staff. The extra space will allow for better opportunities for individualized programming, and a more comfortable setting for student learning.
